Fantastic day of football at Iveagh Park.
There was a brilliant day of football held at Iveagh Park. We hosted six local schools with a football tournament where skills, sportsmanship and passion were seen in abundance. The children from our school, Iveagh, Bronte, Drumadonnell, St Mary’s Dechomet, St Colman’s Annaclone and St Patrick’s Drumgreenagh all had a great morning of sport.
Our boys once against found themselves on the wrong side of a semi – final on penalties after topping their group unbeaten. There is lots of talent in this group that can be worked on this year.
Congratulations to St Colman’s Annaclone on their hard fought victory over Drumadonnell in a tense final.
We would like to thank Rathfriland Football Club for their cooperation an enabling us to book Iveagh Park. Also a special thank you to Tom McAvoy and the Milestone for providing the children with a snack and drink each.
